The Champion's Choice: Richard McCauley’s of ICANBIKES GRA04 & 40C UL Wheelset
In a challenging race like the 114 Gravel Race, which spans Portugal and Spain with complex terrain, equipment reliability and efficiency are paramount. I’;m incredibly grateful I chose the ICANBIKES GRA04 Carbon Racing Gravel Frameset.
The course was filled with loose gravel and undulating climbs. I was amazed by the GRA04’s stiffness; every pedal stroke translated into forward momentum. Its excellent geometry allowed me to maintain absolute stability and control during high-speed descents. Paired with the ICANBIKES 40C UL ultralight carbon fiber wheelset, this combination struck a perfect balance between weight and aerodynamic performance.
Especially during the final sprint of the race, the wheelset’s lightweight responsiveness and the frame’s lateral stiffness gave me immense confidence. Thanks to ICAN BIKES for providing this competitive weapon; it was definitely my best partner on the road to victory!

ICAN G9 Lightweight Carbon Fiber Gravel/Road Bike
ICAN G9 carbon fiber gravel bike is well-rounded in both appearance and application: The entire bike utilizes a Toray T700/T800 full carbon frame, with its lightweight body providing more agile handling. It also supports a UDH rear derailleur hanger for easier drivetrain and modification options. Equipped with front 160mm/rear 140mm disc brakes, it maintains stability and a sense of security on gravel roads, forest trails, and wet conditions. This demonstrates that it’s not just “good-looking” but a practical choice suitable for long-distance riding and exploration.
Stunning Custom Paint on ICAN G9—Strong Visual Impact at UCI Gravel
This carbon fiber gravel frameset, when fully built, provides a very smooth ride and the wheels feel stable in operation. It definitely turned heads at the race event last weekend. Moreover, the personalized custom paint job and color scheme made a strong visual impact. The customer mentioned achieving a front spot ranking in the UCI Gravel Race in Belgium. Overall, the experience leans towards reliable, durable, and comfortable, making it suitable for high-intensity racing. Thanks to the ICAN Bikes team!
Well-Built Frame with Smooth Buying and Build Experience
I was looking for a frameset that’s more aggressive than my current alloy endurance bike, while still being practical and relatively easy to service. I chose the ICAN FL1 for its clean design and straightforward compatibility (round seatpost, standard 52mm headset, etc.). The geometry also suited what I was looking for with a slightly longer reach and significantly lower stack compared to my current bike. The UCI certification and generally positive feedback on ICAN gave me enough confidence to proceed.
Ordering the frameset was smooth. I worked with Sherry on a simple paint job, and the frame was ready to ship in about a week. I am based in Southeast Asia, so shipping was also quick, taking roughly another week.
Assembly was mostly straightforward. One feature I really appreciated was the pre-installed guides for internal routing. This made cable and hose installation much easier: I simply taped them to the guides and pulled them through. I used the same method for the handlebar, which worked well.
The only issue I encountered was mounting the hydraulic brake calipers. The bolts included with the groupset didn’t quite fit, so I had to source alternative lengths. From what I’ve seen in ICAN build videos and forum discussions, this seems fairly common and not specific to this frame. On a positive note, the caliper mounting surfaces were well-finished: flat and free of paint. On the road, the bike feels fast, agile, and reponsive which is exactly what I was aiming for. Overall, I am very satisfied with how the build turned out!
Custom Creative Paint Job on the Carbon TT Bike TT017
I’m very satisfied with the paint job on the ICAN Carbon TT Bike TT017. The multicolored granular spray paint complements the masculine lines of the carbon fiber frame, creating a strong visual effect and good durability. The frame is made of full carbon material, combined with TT-specific geometry, delivering stiffness and quick response, with clear pedal feedback when pedaling. In terms of transmission, the shifting system is responsive, and the gear ratio design provides a good cadence range during start-up and mid-range acceleration. The durability also gives me confidence during the training phase.
My ICAN FL1 Carbon Fiber Road Bike
I’m very satisfied with my ICAN FL1. Light and strong frame, blue with a striking yellow fork looks amazing in person. It rides smoothly and comfortably on long climbs and fast descents. Internal cable routing keeps the bike clean and performs superbly. Highly recommended for race-ready carbon road bikes.
Lightweight, Agile, and Highly Responsive
Tra01 exceeded expectations in real use at Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. The carbon frame feels incredibly stiff, delivering instant power transfer and rock-solid straight-line stability. Lightweight yet reliable, with precise handling and smooth sprint transitions.
ICAN FL1 build
My metallic red 56 arrived around a month ago. Pre-sales communication with Sherry was straightforward. She accommodated my paint and logo requirements quickly and competently. The spare rear derailleur hanger I’d ordered was initially missing but Sherry quickly resolved this. I’ve built the frame up, using Shimano Ultegra Di2 and a variety of largely AliExpress sourced carbon parts, into a 6.5kg climbing and all-round road bike. Quality of the frame and paintwork seems very high. I appreciate the subtle shaping of the top tube, head tube and seat stays, and especially the ‘flow’ of the top tube, seat tube & seat stays junction. The metallic red paint is fabulous. Brake mounts had been machined, are flat and are square – no issues with brake rub. The internal surfaces of the frame appear to be smooth and obstruction free, so routing of hydraulic hoses and DI2 cables was pretty straightforward. 873g weight for the 56cm painted frame (without hangers, thru axles and bottle cage bolts) and 361g uncut for the forks are very good. My one minor complaint is that the BB had not been faced, so some very mild – and careful – sanding down was necessary before fitting the bottom bracket. I’ve fitted 30mm GP5000 tyres on 24mm internal XMCS rims, giving an actual Width as Measured of 31.7mm. This leaves me 7mm clearance front and rear. I only have 200km on the bike, but early ride impressions are very positive, with the bike feeling lively but planted.
